WHISPERS ON THE WIND

I did see two performances of "Whispers on the WInd"-- one in preview and the last night's performance... I believe this property has a great deal of appeal, and was at the vanguard of the theatre of lyrical realism that became an important movement two or three years later. Clive Barnes sunk the show by referring to it as a "sentimental sleeper"-- which it is not... it is more of a musical conception of "Our Town" and is worth looking at as a property worthy of presentation, especially now. The writers and original cast were superb!
